Subject to planning and community support, one of Unleashed’s aims in creating Unleashed @ The Royal Lyceum is to return the Abbey Road entrance back to its original, clean lined appearance. With adequate funding and through careful renovation, sympathetic to its original appearance, the interior foyer, box office and main auditorium will be refurbished to create a dedicated, state of the art theatre and multi-purpose space available for use by the community, schools and small and larger organisations. It is our ambition to recreate the ‘destination experience’ that this building once was by reconnecting it with its heritage, celebrating its history and unleashing its potential.

Running parallel to our aims for the Abbey Road entrance are our ambitions to rejuvenate the tired rear section on Lower Union Lane. With the installation of adequate lighting, CCTV and a re-introduction of a long lost entrance, Lower Union Lane will provide access to Unleashed Community Arts Centre. Subject to planning and community support this area will become a hub for creativity, recovery and learning, being available for and offering support and encouragement to every member of our society. This unique hub will house a multi-purpose, state of the art studio for rehearsals, dance, small scale performances and exhibitions with additional waiting areas and changing facilities being available.
